About The Position

The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is seeking to hire a Storekeeper I for the Madden Mental Health Center located in Hines, Illinois to perform storekeeping duties involving the receipt, storage and distribution of commodities, property, mechanical and office supplies; takes and maintains inventory. Moves and tags equipment, furniture.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years high school.
  • Requires one (1) year experience in the keeping of stores and stores records.
  • Requires the ability to perform arduous labor lifting and carrying 50-75lbs with assistance.
  • Requires the ability to use dollies and flatbeds.
  • Requires the ability to push and pull heavy items.
  • Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.

Responsibilities

  • Performs storekeeping duties involving the receipt, storage and distribution of commodities, property, mechanical and office supplies.
  • Checks quantity and quality of items received.
  • Issues commodities and supplies.
  • Monitors stock flow and estimates stock needs.
  • Takes and maintains inventory.
  • Moves and tags equipment, furniture, etc. Assists with property control inventories.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
