About The Position

Under general supervision, maintains reports for all received items in the General Stores, verifying that inventory corresponds with receiving reports. Assembles, packs, transports, or arranges for transporting of requisitioned goods or materials to facility staff. Issues supplies to designated areas from approved General store requisition Serves as designated lead worker Monitors General store operations and maintaining the General stores for clean and efficient environment. Performs other duties as required or assigned within the realm of the duties enumerated above.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school.
  • Requires one-year experience in the keeping of stores and stores records.
  • Requires the ability to pass a background check.
  • Requires the ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical.
  • Requires the ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
  • Requires the ability to stand for the duration of the shift, aside from official breaks and lunch period.
  • Certain provisions of the revolving door restrictions contained in 5 ILCS 430/5-45 apply to this position.
  • This position has been found to meet the requirements in section 4A-101 of the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act requiring the occupant/employee to file a Statement of Economic Interest.
  • Requires ability to attend seminars, conferences, and trainings to stay current on methods, tools, ideologies, or other industry related topics relevant to the job duties.
  • Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate. Requires appropriate, valid driver’s license.
  • This position is considered heavy work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(d)). Heavy work involves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime. This requires the ability to work evenings and weekends.
