About The Position

SUPPORTING POLYWOOD®’S MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS BY ENSURING INVENTORY IS ACCURATELY MANAGED, ORGANIZED, AND READILY AVAILABLE. At POLYWOOD®, we design and manufacture sustainable outdoor furniture built to last. The Store Room Clerk plays a critical role in supporting daily operations by ensuring materials and inventory are accurately received, organized, and readily available. This position is responsible for maintaining a well-structured storeroom environment, enabling efficient workflows across departments and minimizing downtime due to material shortages or inaccuracies. As part of our maintenance team, the Store Room Clerk contributes directly to that mission by helping maintain the flow of materials that keep production running smoothly. The Store Room Clerk plays a critical role in supporting POLYWOOD®’s manufacturing operations by ensuring materials are received, organized, and readily available to meet production demands. This position helps maintain inventory accuracy and efficiency across departments, reducing downtime and supporting continuous workflow. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and a proactive approach to managing inventory in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic math skills for inventory tracking and reconciliation
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot discrepancies
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Excel and Google Sheets
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as part of daily responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments accurately
  • Manage inventory levels, including tracking, organization, and distribution of materials
  • Order parts and tooling as needed to maintain stock levels
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within inventory management systems
  • Ensure the storeroom remains clean, organized, and accessible
  • Fulfill material requests from internal departments in a timely manner
  • Support accurate costing by gathering and maintaining inventory data
  • Assist with physical inventory counts, including fixed assets
