A Parts Professional provides prompt and courteous service to all customers over the telephone, in the store, or in the dealer’s shop. This role involves looking up parts applications in catalogs or the POS system, processing orders with accuracy, efficiency, and courtesy, and assisting customers with their needs, often dealing with questions and problems of a highly technical nature. The professional is expected to exhibit a thorough knowledge of products, performance standards, warranties, sales programs, and operating policies, and serve as a resource for advice to other store personnel.
