Store Operations Analyst

About The Position

This position will be responsible for assisting the Sr. Manager of Store Operations with daily management and strategic execution of retail store functions. The role includes analyzing data to support store operations and developing reporting as needed. Strong analytics, written and verbal communication, project and time management skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization are necessary. The Analyst will multi-task and be flexible with changing business and team priorities.

Requirements

  • 2+ or more years of applicable experience.
  • Retail store management experience or related customer service experience.
  • Experience querying a database and aggregation into a summarized format.
  • Industry experience: Retail, Operations, Customer Service.
  • Experience presenting process information and business results to a wide audience, including corporate and store business partners and leadership.
  • Knowledge of retail store operations.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and PC skills, with particular attention to Microsoft Excel and other department specific applications (Snowflake).
  • Proven focus on the customer.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and be trusted with confidential information.
  • Takes responsibility for own learning and development, must be a self-starter and resourceful.
  • Strong writing, grammar, punctuation, proof-reading and editing skills with previous experience developing written materials in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with different management levels.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to build relationships across all business units at all levels of the company.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and planning skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create and/or manage reporting including Omni, AP/OPS, Sales Performance, Cash Office and miscellaneous store reporting.
  • Analyze data and information to identify business opportunities; report to management on key findings and assessments.
  • Support finance team with Store Cash Office process and reporting needs.
  • Assist with management of capital and expense budgets.
  • Own store operations equipment procurement, capital requests and manage process through delivery and invoice payment.
  • Support store signage system needs.
  • Support relationship between Amazon and stores for supplies purchases.
  • Manage team email inbox with expectation of responding within 24 business hours with a solution or facilitating to correct person.
  • Support delivery of operations communication to the store teams by using Belk Connect (Zipline system) and other communication tools.
  • Manage special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Be an effective “bridge” from stores and corporate, providing feedback to all levels of the organization.
  • Provide a high level of service to store and corporate business partners via phone, email, Teams calls, and other presentations.
