About The Position

We’re hiring a Store Manager to lead our flagship store at Tanger Outlets Deer Park, NY. This is more than managing a store—it’s about building a team, creating memorable customer experiences, and being the face of fun. You’ll drive results, develop your team, and work closely with our Home Office to make magic happen in-store.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in retail, hospitality, events, or education leadership
  • A hands-on, solutions-focused leader with great energy and a love for play
  • Sales-minded and customer-obsessed with an eye for presentation
  • Strong communicator with coaching and development skills
  • Able to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable with store systems and POS platforms
  • BA, BS or Associate’s degree required
  • Preferred professional experience – minimum 2 years in at least one of the below: Retail, Hospitality or Event execution management Primary or Secondary Education Teaching
  • Self-motivated, accountable, responsible and open to feedback
  • Proven successful experience as a retail store manager with sales focus
  • A solution-oriented leader with a sense of innovation and curiosity
  • Knowledge in retail operations, sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation and loss prevention is preferred
  • Ability to manage a sales floor by delegating tasks effectively, ensuring the sales floor remains appropriately stocked and visually merchandised stocked, Associates are Customer-focused and store atmosphere is reflective of Toys“R”Us
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, passionate about the work, lead with optimism and a solution-oriented mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Retail or event management experience
  • Background in education or training
  • Knowledge of merchandising, loss prevention, or store operations
  • Experience in behavioral coaching, conflict management, training and development is a plus
