About The Position

Our new Michigan Avenue store is currently seeking an experienced Store Manager on a Full Time basis. In this role you'll focus on creating a welcoming, professional and collaborative environment for your team so everyone can put the customer at the heart of every decision taken. You'll have demonstrated experience achieving commercial success, a background in client sales/retail clothing is advantageous but not required, as it's your leadership and entrepreneurial spirit which will set you apart for this role. You will have the proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate others to achieve and work to very high standards with a sense of personal accountability. You'll work closely with the Head of Retail to strategize and prioritize, all the while ensuring excellent customer experience.

Requirements

  • Experience leading a team as a large volume Assistant Manager or Store Manager required.
  • Well rounded experience including people leadership, talent sourcing, stock operations, clientelling, visual merchandising and general customer service experience is desired, in a premium retail environment would be beneficial.
  • Your personality and enthusiasm, combined with your experience will make you a person who is fun to work with, taking pride in appearance, and always with a driven, can-do attitude.
  • Support is provided to help you understand our brand, product, and customer.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate, coach and develop store teams to exceed KPIs, sales targets and profitability
  • Control, manage and minimize all controllable costs efficiently and within planned budgets
  • Create and deliver a culture of exceptional customer service by ensuring all team members are fully conversant with Charles Tyrwhitt customer service, FEEFO, store operations and current store promotions and ranges, utilizing business and staff training tools, including commercial reports, VM directives, HR policies
  • Building strong relationships with peers, and head office departments to effectively deal with matters concerning the stores stock control, payroll/budgeting, layout, promotions, staff development and employee relations. Frequent contact with USHR, USVM and UK Merch teams to maximize performance
  • Identify and maximized sales opportunities (e.g. promotions, outfit building, up & cross selling) to ensure sales and margins targets are achieved and exceeded
  • Understanding and reporting market position and competitor activity. Creating and leading a corporate strategy to maximise new business opportunities in the market. Maintaining an external network relevant to your market
  • Recruit, select, develop and retain high caliber staff that reflect the Charles Tyrwhitt brand and promote excellent customer service. Taking a lead on talent acquisition for your market and ownership for succession planning
  • Truly engage with and champion colleague engagement, identifying suitable initiatives to drive improvements in engagement survey results and employee turnover. Taking a keen interest in each team member and work to growing them as individuals
