About The Position

This store design position will be part of the Amazon Worldwide Retail Growth & Development. We are an exciting, fast-moving business unit, where everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats and work effectively in a highly collaborative environment. You must demonstrate the ability to efficiently drive multiple projects throughout all phases of design, permitting and construction administration. Requirements

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in architecture or interior design
5+ years of commercial retail design or architecture experience
Intermediate Revit skills required

Nice To Haves

Grocery experience strongly preferred
Architectural or Interior Design FF&E background preferred
Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, Enscape, SketchUp, SmartSheet
Knowledge of current sustainability trends and practices preferred
Proven track record of owning projects from start to finish
Ability to manage change though multiple projects in various phases of design
Experience with design development, construction documents, permitting and construction administration
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an extremely fast paced, ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities

Solutions oriented, proactive and flexible attitude; willingness to take an "all hands-on deck" approach
Working across a large portfolio and multiple banners with a diverse set of programs
Manage the design process, interfacing with internal and external design partners
Responsible for building data driven scope of work with internal stake holders, focused on servicing operating stores
Responsible for development of FF&E and Décor packages
Work with key internal and external stakeholders in the development and production of comprehensive design development packages
Create presentation packages to communicate design with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Drive and create Schematic Design Packages
Coordinate with Construction, Procurement and Operations Teams on budget and schedule considerations and value engineering efforts
Manage consultants throughout all phases of design through the project lifecycle
Provide Construction Administrative support as needed
Archive completed drawings, redlines, and shop drawings
Obtain landlord approvals per lease requirements
Review and approves submittals and shop drawings
Demonstrated ability in building and health codes, 3D visualization, and industry trends
The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
The ability to work effectively in an extremely fast paced, ambiguous environment
