About The Position

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Store Communications and Workload Planning Manager to join our Store Communications team. The Store Communications Manager - Workload Planning will partner with the Director of Store Communications to evolve the department strategy with a focus on enhancing workload planning and task management and elevating our communication platform. This role has responsibilities focused on creating, editing and publishing field-facing communications, facilitating field workload management, and connecting the cross-functional business partners with the store organization to drive alignment of company initiatives for multiple brands across North America. This person will work within a team environment, building and maintaining strong relationships throughout the organization with both field and corporate business partners, working in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This position reports directly to the Director of Store Communications.

Requirements

  • Retail Management or Communications Management Experience of 6-plus years or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or communications preferred or equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to think strategically to develop communication plans for a multi-brand field organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to flex to various audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify potential obstacles or opportunities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the desire to satisfy our internal and external customers.
  • Solid time management skills to meet service level expectations and personal workload deadlines.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take the initiative and follow through with minimal direction provided.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint - Savvy enough to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Canva, graphic design or video editing skills is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes field communication standards, while prioritizing and maintaining a workload balance for stores and multi-unit management.
  • Manages store workload by leading cross-functional meetings with internal stakeholders to facilitate workload task information to sustain on-time and effective communication.
  • Maintains the Store Workload Calendar by brand to allow store teams to plan for execution and sustain workload balance.
  • Analyzes metrics for on-time completion, task execution and adoption to measure compliance and report performance results to CSO leaders.
  • Develops and executes brand communication strategies that meet the needs of the business; evolves strategies as needed to support business trends.
  • Leads the effort to evolve the communication platform to proactively support store strategy.
  • Evolves and upholds brand standards for communication including formatting, writing for various audiences, and timing to allow for proper in store execution and adoption.
  • Acts as lead Gatekeeper and primary editor for communication quality assurance, maintaining exceptional written skills, including managing the translation process.
  • Writes communications for key CSO messages as assigned.
  • Designs communication plans across projects, initiatives, and events to drive advanced planning and consistency with business partners.
  • Builds and supports change management, training, and communication plans to create a seamless transition and adoption of initiatives in-store.
  • Manages specific projects which may be assigned planned or ad-hoc.
