About The Position

Stock room attendants manage incoming bar stock from vendors. Managing cut orders in our ERP system and completing them in a timely manner as well as stocking the staging area with cut bars. Keep the machine shop running smoothly by dumping hoppers (recyclable material) periodically throughout the day. Help other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Availability to work nights, weekends and overtime as needed
• Ability to stand for several hours at a time

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with tooling used in a production environment
• Great communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Certified forklift operator.
• Understanding of basic safety and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Keep a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
• Cut and deliver the correct stock to machine operators or wall storage
• Receive bar stock orders by off loading material from delivery trucks
• Handling sharp metals, machined turnings, separating scrap parts for certified destruction, and loading trucks with recyclable material
• Comply with safe work practices; understanding work injury procedures, workers comp, and safety standards
• Operate and maintain heavy duty equipment including band saws, cold saws, bar chamfering equipment, and forklifts
• Tracking stock inventory through an ERP system on a daily basis
• Marking identification numbers on materials for shelf storage using an engraver
