About The Position

The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry invites applications for Stockroom Assistants for the Spring of 2026. Majoring or planning to major in chemistry or biochemistry is preferred but not required. Chemistry & Biochemistry Stockroom Assistants will get the opportunity to develop their understanding of the materials at hand, gain further knowledge of topics that they previously learned, develop a professional relationship with new students, and develop their skills as educators.

Requirements

• You must be an enrolled student at Oberlin College & Conservatory to qualify.
• In order to be considered, applicants must have earned a passing grade in CHEM 102.

Nice To Haves

• Majoring or planning to major in chemistry or biochemistry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the organization and operation of department stockroom
• Assisting in the setup and support of the teaching labs
• Handling chemicals and sample preparation
• Cleaning and maintaining chemical glassware
• Other related duties.
