About The Position

As an Operations Generalist at Petco, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our merchandising and inventory strategies are executed effectively across the Pet Care Center. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the center's operations to meet the needs of our guests and their pets. This involves working with the truck, stocking shelves, cleaning the center, operating the cash register, and providing an excellent experience for each guest. A passion for animal welfare and a positive attitude towards teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED) or relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in mathematics and above-average communication skills.
• Genuine interest in animals and their care.
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage inventory across the Pet Care Center.
• Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, priced, and displayed.
• Process register transactions to create a great guest experience.
• Support guest interactions and exhibit proficiency in the selling model.
• Promote animal welfare and support animal care procedures.
• Complete training programs to maintain expertise in the role.
• Foster a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
• Adhere to operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to the Leader on Duty as needed.
• Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
