About The Position

This role is critical in ensuring the seamless operation of stewarding and purchasing functions, enhancing efficiency, and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and organization within the property.

Requirements

At least 2 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field.
Long hours sometimes required.
Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Birchstreet software skills.
Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development, and compliance.
The ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of safe food handling standards and beverage management.

Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the Stewarding Department.
Supervise all stewarding personnel.
Schedule and manage stewards, pot washers, and night cleaners.
Ensure sanitation of the kitchen, storerooms, hallways, dock, and equipment complies with Health Department standards.
Design and implement cleaning schedules (daily, weekly, monthly).
Conduct quarterly china, glass, and silver inventories.
Maintain and operate the burnishing machine.
Schedule and monitor trash removal to maintain cleanliness and order.
Assist in plate-up with staff when required.
Schedule pest control visits and ensure compliance.
Enter purchase orders (POs) in BirchStreet for cleaning supplies, operating supplies, non-alcoholic beverages, dry storage items and long shelf life items.
Coordinate with culinary managers for the requisition of fresh ingredients and high-turnover items.
Manage banquet event equipment and provide detailed inventories as needed.
Reconcile quarterly cleaning expenses for rebate purposes.
Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of purchased items.
