About The Position

The Steward is a vital part of our Food & Beverage team, ensuring our kitchens operate safely, efficiently, and at the highest standards of cleanliness. This role supports chefs and service teams by maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment—making great food and great service possible.

Requirements

One year of related experience preferred
Food safety certification preferred
Stand for long periods; walk, climb stairs, bend, kneel, twist, and reach
Push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs
Perform frequent repetitive motions
Work in hot, humid, and noisy kitchen environments

Responsibilities

Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented kitchen culture
Wash all wares using dish machines or by hand in accordance with food safety and health regulations
Properly store dishes, utensils, flatware, glassware, and equipment
Clean and maintain dish machines and dish areas following established schedules
Collect trash from kitchen areas; empty, clean, and re-line garbage cans
Break down boxes, remove debris, and keep work areas organized
Sweep and mop kitchen floors; clean receiving, trash, and other kitchen-related areas
Maintain inventory of dishwashing supplies, chemicals, and paper products
Prioritize washing of service items to support smooth and timely service
Monitor kitchen floors to ensure they remain clean, dry, and hazard-free
Assist with weekly kitchen deep-cleaning and maintenance checklists
Understand and perform assigned responsibilities during emergency situations
Assist with basic food preparation and storage as needed
Help store deliveries and clean coolers, freezers, and storerooms
Attend staff meetings, pre-shift lineups, and required training
Support kitchen operations with additional duties as assigned
