THE ROLE Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for a part-time Steward. This position is responsible for all Stewarding functions across the venue. Duties include cleaning all china, glassware, silver, and serving equipment; facilitating the plate-up and delivery of food for all functions; and the setup and breakdown of all banquet buffets. This role also ensures the cleanliness and organization of all food preparation and service areas, including the main kitchen, concessions kitchen, and back hallways. Additional responsibilities include the pickup and delivery of hot boxes and products from all concession areas for all events, as well as the maintenance of equipment in all pantries, concession areas, and storage locations.

Requirements

  • At least two (2) years of experience in a Food & Beverage environment.
  • Strong ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
  • Results oriented individual with the ability to meet required timelines.
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
  • Must adhere to local Food Codes.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of all food to prospective functions.
  • Delivery, set-up, and breakdown of all equipment to prospective functions.
  • Pickup and delivery of hot boxes and products from all concession areas for all events.
  • Maintenance of equipment in all pantries, concession areas, and storage locations.
  • Cleanliness in both kitchens.
  • Running and maintenance of the main dish machine.
  • Position is very hands-on with frequent interaction with staff.
  • Must be quick with counting and simple arithmetic.
  • Other duties as assigned.
