About The Position

As one of our Food for Thought Porters, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen equipment. You will also assist with kitchen prep work and cleaning duties as needed, sweep or scrub floors, clean garbage cans with water or steam, sort and remove trash and place it in designated pickup areas.

Requirements

Additional background and security check required
Attention to detail and sanitation rules.
Must provide valid Food Handler Certificate.

Experience working in high volume restaurants or cafés.

Responsibilities

Maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
Properly cleaning and organizing all cookware and small ware.
Stocking supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
Transferring supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
Assisting with producing accurate inventory.
Assisting with deliveries, when necessary.
