About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the Museum’s kitchen wares (dishwashing), floors, and dining surfaces while also assisting the Stewarding Department with set-up and breakdown of catered events. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts professionally and courteously with Museum guest and fellow staff.
  • Ensures the constant maintenance of the dining room. Cleans tables, chairs and floors. Ensures that trash can levels are serviced and maintained.
  • Organizes and stocks condiment stations.
  • Provides high standards of service, quality and cleanliness.
  • Ensures the proper operation of dish machine to provide clean and sanitized small wares.
  • Ensures that trash and debris are removed and stored properly.
  • Ensures the overall quality of the cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas for small wares.
  • Provides timely and accurate set up and break down of Banquet and Catering events based on CAD’s.
  • Provides assistance with plate up and break out stations.
  • Participates in all Museum-wide mandatory trainings.
  • Participates in Staff Inflection, Employee Engagement Team, and Inclusion focused events.
  • Stays abreast of Museum policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
