The company’s goal is to help people live long, healthy and vibrant lives, improving both lifespan and healthspan. SUMMARY The Steward/Dishwasher plays a vital role in our kitchen and dining room. The Steward/Dishwasher is responsible for the timely cleaning and sanitation of all dishware, smallware, and kitchen items. This position also assumes the role of porter, taking pride in overall cleanliness and housekeeping, and being proactive in this role. The Steward/Dishwasher is key to an organized service flow for the kitchen and the dining room.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • 1+ years of experience in kitchen positions
  • Hold a current state food handlers' certification.

Responsibilities

  • Washes all wares including pots, pans, flatware, glassware, etc, by machine, or by hand, when necessary.
  • Correctly places, stores, and maintains organization of all clean dishware and kitchenware.
  • Operates standard kitchen equipment and dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Removes trash and cleans trash receptacles daily.
  • Moves and maintains organization of dishwashing supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Washing and storing produce as directed.
  • May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
  • Assist in keeping the dining area clean and organized.
  • Ensure work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
  • Reports any maintenance issues or equipment disfunction immediately to senior culinary and/or MOD.
  • Any other related tasks as assigned by Leader or Shift Lead.
