About The Position
Our food and beverage team at Cutalong at Tributer Resort is seeking a friendly, efficient, and customer-oriented Steward/Dishwasher to join our team. The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, washing dishes and kitchen utensils, and assisting with basic food prep and inventory organization as needed. This role is crucial to ensuring a safe and efficient kitchen operation.
Requirements
- No formal education required; prior stewarding or kitchen experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using manual and automatic dishwashing methods
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment
- Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and food waste according to restaurant procedures
- Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries and supplies
- Ensure all cleaning and sanitation supplies are stocked and stored properly
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area and back-of-house areas at all times
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations as required by local laws
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic prep tasks (e.g., peeling vegetables) when needed
- Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the supervisor
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
