About The Position

The Edgewater Hotel is seeking a Steward to join our team! The Steward (Dishwasher) is responsible for the operation of the dish machine. Also responsible for collecting dirty plates and pots/pans from various areas, and restocking said areas with clean items, regular sweep/mop of work area and general cleaning of counter tops, tables, sinks, mats, dish area, and floors, disposal of trash, waste, and grease, and working with chemicals. RATE OF PAY: $25.81-$25.81 per hour SCHEDULE: Flexible availability for shifts is needed. Requirements

Must be able to work safely with delicate equipment and china/glass/silver.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Understanding of basic sanitation, including safely reading and following instructions on various equipment and chemicals/cleaning agent
Ability to communicate regularly with associates and supervisors
Ability to follow daily checklists and report any issues or challenges to management team
Must be able to communicate effectively in English and have a team-oriented attitude
