Responsible for assistance in the supervision and management of residential programs and provides direct care, specialized treatment and assistance to individuals in a residential program in accordance with the individual's plan.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One to two years of experience in the field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear, comprehensible manner.
  • Ability to use perform basic computer skills and use Microsoft Word.
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Maintain staff requirement covering schedule when needed, lead, train. Create staff schedule
  • Provide direction and initiate communication with necessary personnel
  • Provide accurate and current documentation relative to residents and the home.
  • Commit to and actively participate in following all procedures identified by supervisor.
  • Actively assure that the living environment is kept clean and safe, completing special duties as assigned.
  • Provide residents with direct care assistance as required or identified.
  • Help with weekly grocery and supply runs completed, as needed
  • Hold monthly house meetings, and assist with staff meetings, as needed
  • Accompany residents on community outings; schedule and participate in activities enthusiastically.
  • Perform scheduled safety drills, document and turn in to supervisor. e File and assist with maintenance of individuals records.
  • Act as mandated reporters, ensuring that the residents are treated fairly and respectfully at all times. Assist Supervisor with compliance with Rule 115 and 116.
  • Performs other related tasks as needed.
