About The Position

At Tri-State Oral & Facial Surgery, we are looking for a dependable Sterilization Technician to help keep our practice running smoothly and safely. In this role, you will sterilize instruments, prepare treatment rooms, and support patient care to ensure every visit is safe and seamless.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certificate preferred.
• Previous experience in a dental or oral surgery office preferred.
• Knowledge of oral surgery instruments and sterilization equipment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be detailed oriented, accurate, and reliable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and collaboratively.
• Follow protocols and guidelines as they relate to patient privacy (HIPAA/OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Process dental and surgical instruments through the sterilization process safely and efficiently.
• Maintain sterilization equipment, following manufacture maintenance guidelines and intervals.
• Turn over operatories, transporting dirty instruments to the sterilization area for processing.
• Set up treatment rooms for the next patient procedure.
• Provide support to patients by escorting them to and from the treatment room as needed.
• Expose digital images (as allowed by state guidelines and certificates).
• Transition exam information to the front office staff for scheduling purposes, as needed.
• Performs other related duties and projects as necessary or assigned.
