Website: Omaha Orthodontics Schedule: M-F Monday: 7:15-5PM - Tuesday: 7:14am-4:30pm - Wednesday: 7:45am-5:00pm - Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm - Friday: 7:30am-12pm

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of dental infection control and sterilization procedures is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
  • Familiarity with sterilization equipment and processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to established infection control protocols.
  • Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
  • Maintain accurate sterilization logs and documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Inspect sterilization equipment regularly and report maintenance or repair needs.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of contaminated and biohazardous materials.
  • Keep the sterilization area organized, stocked, and properly labeled.
  • Monitor inventory of sterilization supplies and notify management of replenishment needs.
  • Store sterilized instruments appropriately to ensure easy access for clinical staff.
  • Support dental assistants and clinical teams by ensuring treatment rooms are stocked with sterile instruments.
  • Assist with training staff on sterilization protocols as needed.
