Requirements

  • High school or equivalent.
  • Previous hospital experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Will be trained and in-service on the safe operation and use of department machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of OR surgical instruments.
  • Decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instrument sets, trays equipment, and machinery for various other departments.
  • Assemble, package and sterilize specialty linen sets for OR.
  • Assemble, package and sterilize specialty linen as requested by various departments.
  • Monitor and maintain standards of sterilization as recommended by JCAHO
