About The Position

Join our team as a Certified Sterile Processing Tech. In the Certified Sterile Processing Tech role you will: Promote improved quality and improved patient safety in the OR by ensuring the efficient flow of the Sterile Processing department. Perform routine tasks relating to the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, equipment and sterile supplies. Responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization equipment. Maintain records in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission and OSHA standards. Maintains Certification, and monitors, instructs and mentors non-certified. Facilitate awareness and understanding around what is at stake with patients in the OR. Facilitate the department's preparation of staff to pass survey/regulatory assessments.

Requirements

  • Computer skills required
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire or transfer
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
  • Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
