The Sterile Processing Manager coordinates the daily activities of the Sterile Processing Department. The manager is also responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance and ensuring correct procedures are followed for decontamination and sterilization, reporting to the infection control representative. The position requires adapting behavior to specific patient populations, accurately documenting and monitoring reusable supplies, instruments, procedure trays, and sterile linen, and verifying equipment functionality. Additionally, the manager sets goals, provides coaching and feedback, develops talent, promotes a collaborative work environment, manages conflict, conducts performance reviews, and handles administrative HR functions like timecard approval and scheduling. Compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety regulations is also a key responsibility.
