About The Position

Pharmcare USA is seeking a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Tech in Brunswick, OH!! Candidate must be a certified registered technician in good standing with the OH Board of Pharmacy, and IV certified. Prior long-term care pharmacy or data entry experience is a plus! PharmcareUSA is a national, closed- door, long term care pharmacy business with locations in multiple states. We are privately owned and continue to grow each year, providing daily deliveries to nursing and assisted living facilities as well as hospice residents.   • Must be able to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as calculators, copy machines and printers up to 100% of the time
  • Regularly required to talk and hear in order to communicate effectively over the phone and in person
  • Must be able to see 100% to perform various tasks
  • This position will require standing, walking, & periods of remaining stationary; may also require bending, kneeling, reaching and stooping
  • Must be able to lift and/or transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds, up to 10% of the time
  • Must be able to tolerate normal office environment and exposure to various medications
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Candidate must be a certified registered technician in good standing with the OH Board of Pharmacy, and IV certified

Nice To Haves

  • Prior long-term care pharmacy or data entry experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Data entry of physician orders and E-kit usage into the dispensing system
  • Managing admissions paperwork
  • Serve as a back up for pharmacy fill technicians to assist with filling medication orders
  • Perform basic administrative duties such as scanning, filing and typing
  • Pack & organize final medication orders into delivery totes in preparation for delivery
  • Maintain excellent attendance to schedules; stay on task throughout the day
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Process all charges generated by the department; work from the medication profile, individual charge cards and floor stock forms
  • Type all correspondence for the department
  • Receive in-coming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate individual
  • Establish and maintain office and general files for the department
  • Provide receptionist duties for visitors; may provide information or obtain requested information or refer to another department member as appropriate
  • Distribute mail as appropriate
