STEPS Security Worker
About The Position
Join our team today as a STEPS Security Worker! The role demands strong observational skills, the ability to work independently, remain alert during overnight hours, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, with frequent walking, standing, and climbing during the shift, plus the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Requirements
- Security work
- able to work various hours, especially weekends and/or weekday evenings
- Some holidays and during university breaks
- Flexibility to report during weather related or emergency university closures
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of related experience.
Responsibilities
- Patrolling and monitoring buildings and greenhouses
- Responding to alarms, incidents, or suspicious activity
- Documenting observations through a digital log
- Coordinating with campus police, facilities staff, and college personnel
- Performing lock-up/lock-down procedures and equipment checks.
