About The Position

Club SciKidz MD offers science and technology summer camps for children ages 4-15 years in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard, and Montgomery counties. The company is currently hiring a Director for its Olney location. The weekly salary starts at $750 and is dependent on experience.

Requirements

• Certified teacher with at least 4 years teaching experience; other comparable experience considered
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with parents, as well as with handling parent concerns
• Strong classroom management skills and experience working with children of varying behaviors, abilities and needs
• Possess leadership skills
• Strong communication skills & detail oriented
• Love working with kids
• Able to work at least four weeks between June 15-26, and July 6-July 31st
• Work Monday-Friday, 7:50am-5:00pm
• Attend Director Training on Saturday, May 16 in Ellicott City
• Attend Staff Training on Saturday, June 6 in Ellicott City
• CPR & First Aid certification (must have certification by first day of camp)
• Completion of Medication Administration Training (will be provided)
• Passionate about working with children and teaching & providing a positive camp experience

Nice To Haves

• Ability to work at least 5 weeks during the summer camp period

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the camp
• Managing staff & ensuring programs are implemented
• Ensuring camper supervision and safety and handling camper behaviors
• Parent communication and interaction
• Maintaining compliance with state regulations
