About The Position

Club SciKidz MD offers science and technology summer camps for children ages 4-15 years in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard, and Montgomery counties. This position is for a Director at one of the locations in Howard County. The Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the camp, including staff management, program implementation, camper supervision and safety, handling camper behaviors, parent communication, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. The weekly salary starts at $750 and is dependent on experience.

Requirements

• Certified teacher with at least 4 years teaching experience; other comparable experience considered
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with parents, as well as with handling parent concerns
• Have strong classroom management skills and experience working with children of varying behaviors, abilities and needs
• Possess leadership skills
• Strong communication skills & detail oriented
• Love working with kids
• Able to work at least four weeks of camp from June 15th-August 21st
• Work Monday-Friday, 7:50am-5:30pm
• Attend trainings: Director Training: Saturday, May 16; Staff Training, Saturday, June 6; all trainings in Ellicott City
• CPR & First Aid certification (must have certification by first day of camp)
• Completion of Medication Administration Training (will be provided)
• Passionate about working with children and teaching & providing a positive camp experience

• Ability to work five weeks or more of camp
