About The Position
Oversee the Stem Student Success Center (S3C) during evening hours of tutorial center operation during the fall and spring academic semesters. This is a nine (9) month, part-time position. McMurry University seeks applicants who have an understanding of the unique educational needs of first-generation college students, as well as demonstrated passion for serving students. Accordingly, we place a very high priority on hiring people with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trusted relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community.
Requirements
- High School diploma.
- One year of related work experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of computers.
- Previous customer service experience working with the public.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in related area
- Two years prior work experience in an educational setting.
- Some experience in a supervisory role.
- Ability to tutor reading, writing, and/or algebra.
