About The Position

Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking a qualified Activity Camp Instructor – STEM to lead youth STEM camps at Magnolia. These camps serve youth ages 6–12. Council: 150 – Magnolia Hourly Wage: $25.00–$27.50 Status: Part-time, Seasonal Desired Start Date: June 22, 2026 Schedule Monday – Friday Shifts available: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience teaching or leading STEM activities in a camp, school, or community setting
  • Experience working with children ages 6–12
  • Ability to manage groups in a positive and supportive manner

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead safe, age-appropriate STEM activities for youth ages 6–12
  • Facilitate hands-on projects in science, technology, engineering, and math
  • Encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and teamwork
  • Supervise participants and maintain a positive and inclusive camp environment
  • Set up and clean up activity areas and materials
  • Communicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisors
  • Follow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and procedures
