About The Position

This is a fully remote, project-based opportunity for an experienced statutory accountant to contribute to high-quality financial reporting for a leading insurance client. The role involves preparing statutory financial statements, supporting GAAP reporting, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will play a key part in delivering reliable financial data that informs business decisions while collaborating with a team of professionals in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. This position offers exposure to specialized statutory accounting practices within the Property & Casualty Insurance industry and provides an opportunity to work on impactful projects until March 2026. Attention to detail, technical expertise, and timely execution are essential for success.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant statutory accounting experience, preferably within the Property & Casualty Insurance industry.
• Experience with Sovos Wings system is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles and GAAP reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Must reside in the continental United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the annual statutory financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Support GAAP reporting requirements and related financial disclosures.
• Prepare assigned financial statements, footnotes, and journal entries accurately and on schedule.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with statutory accounting principles.
• Maintain organized documentation and records for audit and review purposes.
