This position exists to operate and maintain the central utility plant in order to produce and distribute campus utilities consisting of high-pressure steam, central chilled water, and emergency electrical loads. This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all equipment related to the production of these utilities, providing a safe and comfortable environment for all campus functions. This position works in accordance with all regulations adapted by the State of Minnesota pertaining to Minnesota State Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes and the State of Minnesota Engineering Codes and Regulations. This position has been designated as weather and emergency essential. In the event of a short-term University closure or emergency event, incumbent is required to report to work and respond as requested.
