What this job involves: JLL is seeking a Stationary Engineer/Electrician to join our team! You will monitor electrical equipment and systems for continuous operations for our client, utilizing automation controls, alarm systems and local controls. This role is essential to maintaining safe and efficient facility operations while ensuring compliance with government regulatory standards and standard operating procedures according to NFPA70E. What your day-to-day will look like: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools Maintain and repair large motors, equipment, and control systems in campus factory areas Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure system safety Perform routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various electrical equipment including predictive, planned, preventative maintenance as well as equipment rounds and service requests Document problems encountered and communicate these through electronic work order systems, electronic mail and voice systems

Requirements

  • Must be willing to join Local 39 International Union of Operating Engineers
  • 7+ years of experience in facility/plant electrical system maintenance in a manufacturing or GMP/ISO environment
  • Experienced electrician with electrical work experience in an industrial or commercial environment
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Experience with building/system control systems, boilers and their associated steam delivery systems along with automation controls
  • Knowledge of air compressors, air dyers, reverse osmosis units, water distilling units, clean steam generators, HVAC/R, pump rebuild, and Utility Operations
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, HMI interfaces and other automated devices

Nice To Haves

  • Previous GMP environment experience
  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems
  • Basic PC skills along with common applications associated with interoffice communication
  • Experience with laser alignment and ability to rebuild pumps in-house
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials storage, usage, and disposal procedures
