You'll work closely with executive leadership, regional business units, and community stakeholders to ensure our voice is heard where it matters most. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-8 years of experience in state government relations or consultancy.
  • Proven success in Southeastern U.S. policy engagement.
  • Experience with grid and manufacturing policy.
  • Skilled in policy research and regulatory analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration and communication skills.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Represent Hitachi Energy with state and local governments to drive energy and manufacturing policy.
  • Lead engagement in key states, including site visits and local advocacy efforts.
  • Collaborate with community managers on regional events and initiatives.
  • Develop messaging materials and secure thought leadership opportunities.
  • Advance grid, AI/data center, and manufacturing policy with state officials.
  • Build strategic relationships with governors, legislators, and trade associations.
  • Monitor and analyze state regulatory developments.
  • Support cross-functional teams with policy insights and recommendations.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
