Our location is seeking State and Local Tax, Telecom Associate. Come and see for yourself! PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinates, compiles, analyzes, and distributes accurate and timely information to prepare and file documents related to telephony regulatory matters and compliance functions. Assists with preparation and filing of revisions to regulatory documents. Prepares correspondence and responsive materials to third parties and regulatory authorities. Tests basic tax mapping scenarios within the CLA tax lab and/or client’s tax engines to ensure appropriate and expected tax results. Supports testing and implementing systems and/or process changes to add increased efficiencies or conformance with tax rules. Reviews jurisdiction laws pertaining to exemptions and validate forms provided by client’s customers to ensure good faith standards are met to indemnify client from tax liability. Contributes to the development of requirements for new and existing client projects. Understands and works to resolve general customer issues. Participates in other operational and strategic projects or duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required – Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
  • General knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.
