Requirements

  • Must be forklift certified.
  • Must be able to lift 60 lb. bags of starter media.
  • Must be able to use a microscope.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Will have 3 months from being placed in job to obtain license.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory cultures and Ingredients.
  • Accurate completion of documentation.
  • Pull samples for the lab.
  • C.I.P. starter tanks, Brine UF, finesavers, cooker water tank, whey surge tanks, and tank jackets, and accessory equipment.
  • Complete titrations and pre-op on equipment.
  • Transfer cooker water.
  • Assist RMC operators with form changes, and brine room attendants when necessary.
  • Supply ingredients to Cheesemakers.
  • Make primary tanks.
  • Set secondary tanks.
  • Maintain raw materials in the starter area.
  • Assist with production needs.
  • Peel starter bags daily.
  • Must be able to take and pass a Pasteurizer test given by the State Inspector.
  • Must be able to cross train and master other jobs as assigned.
  • Responsible for food safety and food quality.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
