About The Position

The Starbucks Manager is responsible for the overall operation, performance, and profitability of the in‑store Starbucks café. This role ensures brand standards, beverage quality, food safety, and customer service excellence are consistently met. The Starbucks Manager leads, develops, and motivates the Starbucks team while managing labor, inventory, and operational execution to deliver a welcoming and efficient café experience.

Requirements

  • Previous food service or café management experience.
  • Strong customer service and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light to moderate lifting.

  • Starbucks management or branded café experience.
  • Experience with labor scheduling, ordering systems, and inventory management.
  • High‑volume food service leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Starbucks operations, including beverage production, food service, and customer engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with Starbucks brand standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the café, equipment, and service areas.
  • Ensure proper opening, closing, and shift execution.
  • Deliver a welcoming, friendly, and consistent Starbucks experience for every customer.
  • Monitor service speed, quality, and accuracy; address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Foster a customer‑focused culture among café associates.
  • Manage ordering, receiving, inventory levels, and product rotation.
  • Ensure accurate pricing, promotional execution, and product availability.
  • Control waste, shrink, and food costs through effective ordering and production planning.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop Starbucks baristas and supervisors.
  • Schedule labor to align with business needs while controlling costs.
  • Set clear performance expectations and hold associates accountable.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, recognition, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Maintain required logs, temperature checks, cleaning schedules, and certifications.
  • Enforce safety procedures to protect customers and associates.
  • Follow company policies and Starbucks program requirements.
  • Monitor sales, labor, waste, and operating expenses.
  • Analyze results and implement action plans to improve performance.
  • Support store leadership with café reporting, initiatives, and business goals.
