About The Position

The TMO (Transformation Management Office) Standards & Portfolio Operations Lead supports the Enterprise Transformation Office (ETO) by establishing and operationalizing enterprise-wide standards for indirect transformation initiatives—ensuring a common language, consistent lifecycle/stage gates, milestone definitions, and standardized reporting—while also running the operational governance cadence (forums, logs, compliance tracking, and executive-ready packs) that drives decision velocity, accountability, and repeatable execution across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 6–10 years, or PhD with 3–7 years), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and operationalizing enterprise standards (lifecycle, milestones, templates, governance rules) across multiple organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience running a portfolio governance cadence (logs, compliance, executive pack production, decision capture).
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills; able to communicate with executive leadership and influence outcomes across functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Transformation Office / Portfolio Governance / Operating Model stand-up.
  • Secret Clearance
  • Experience building and maintaining standardized KPI/metric dictionaries and reporting governance (in partnership with Finance/Performance teams).
  • Familiarity with M365 collaboration tooling (Teams/SharePoint) and governance automation concepts (e.g., forms/workflows).
  • Lean / process improvement background (e.g., standard work, controls, continuous improvement).

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain enterprise TMO standards for indirect initiatives: lifecycle/stage gates, required artifacts, milestone library, and standard status language (RAG = Red/Amber/Green; RAID = Risks/Assumptions/Issues/Dependencies), cadence expectations, and escalation triggers.
  • Operate standards governance: version control, change control, and a documented, time-boxed waiver/exception process.
  • Run the portfolio governance cadence: agendas, pre-reads, decision capture, minutes/follow-ups; maintain action, decision, and RAID logs and drive closure.
  • Drive reporting compliance and portfolio hygiene: track completeness/timeliness, follow up with owners, and publish compliance visibility.
  • Produce executive-ready portfolio packs using standard templates (health, milestones, top risks/blockers, decisions required).
  • Lead adoption and enablement: templates, job aids/FAQs, onboarding/office hours, and “what changed” communications.
  • Identify recurring friction and implement continuous improvements to simplify standards and reduce reporting burden.
