About The Position

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment to include: receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts, shipping, and picking of products to support Plant operations. They will maintain inventory accuracy, monitor coolers/freezer temperatures, and keep the warehouse area organized. The role requires stand-up forklift and RF scan gun experience. Mom's Meals is a home-delivered meal service providing fully prepared, refrigerated meal solutions direct to homes nationwide for over 25 years. They provide seniors, patients recovering post-discharge and those managing a chronic condition with tailored nutrition solutions to manage their specific needs. Requirements

2-4 years' prior forklift experience
Stand up forklift experience
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to speak/read/write in English fluently
Good basic math skills

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed
Must be able to operate stand up forklift
Utilize mobile handheld devices for tracking shipments
Safely climb in and out of trailers
Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently)
Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope)
Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has potential to be below freezing and may become slippery
Safely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties
Verify and complete required documentation and reports
Adhere to company safety policies
Frequent contact with co-workers and supervisors; fast-paced and deadline oriented
Safely work in cold weather conditions
