About The Position

Position Title: Stamping Production Manager GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION: Oversee all press operations in the building ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION Oversee the rotation of production tasks Monitor the skill level of all Press Coordinators (Supervisors) and that all receive needed training Monitor all reporting of production activities to ensure accuracy and to identify areas for improvement Act as liaison between Press Coordinators (Sup) and Support Technicians to minimize downtime Support the Press Coordinators (Sup) to maximize production and quality to minimizing downtime and scrap Assist in the development and implementation of the annual profit plan which involves defining departmental budgets, forecasting, direct labor, identifying equipment requirements, establishes quality goals and outlining continuous improvement programs. Provide input and support to new product plans/programs that enhance the business objectives and financial performances of the plant, division, and corporation. Promote team involvement activities to improve systems used in the Press area Additional responsibilities as required – this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change ACADEMICS AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA 2 years’ experience in supervision required with 5 years’ experience with press/stamping manufacturing processes preferred 2 years of automotive/industrial manufacturing required Experience in developing and using systems Quality and production systems experience in industrial manufacturing Experience with lean manufacturing and preventative maintenance systems Experience in promoting, coaching, and conducting training programs Production scheduling experience preferred Engineering or maintenance experience required 4-year degree in engineering or industrial related field preferred

Requirements

• 2 years’ experience in supervision required
• 2 years of automotive/industrial manufacturing required
• Experience in developing and using systems
• Quality and production systems experience in industrial manufacturing
• Experience with lean manufacturing and preventative maintenance systems
• Experience in promoting, coaching, and conducting training programs
• Engineering or maintenance experience required

Nice To Haves

• 5 years’ experience with press/stamping manufacturing processes preferred
• Production scheduling experience preferred
• 4-year degree in engineering or industrial related field preferred
