About The Position
Heyco, a PennEngineering Company, is a cutting-edge American manufacturer with 100 years of expertise. They are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Metal Stamping Press Operator to support their high-speed production operations. The Metal Stamping Press Operator is responsible for operating high-speed stamping presses to produce quality parts in accordance with production schedules, ensuring the correct quantity and quality of parts are produced while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Ability to use basic measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to read basic blueprints/part prints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience
- Mechanical aptitude
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor automated metal stamping equipment
- Maintain continuous production flow, including changing reels and making minor machine adjustments
- Perform in-process inspections using measuring tools such as micrometers and verniers
- Read and interpret basic part prints
- Collect SPC data and ensure quality standards are met
- Stop production as needed to address quality or equipment issues
- Complete required documentation, including log sheets and labels
- Package finished parts according to specifications
- Operate auxiliary equipment such as tumblers, bridge machines, and tape machines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Participate in team problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
- Work overtime as needed based on business demands
