About The Position

As a member of the Institutional Development & Community Prosperity (IDCP) team, the Assistant Director of Stakeholder Engagement supports Maryville University’s advancement and external relations functions, including development operations, annual giving, alumni engagement, and stakeholder stewardship. This role provides tactical execution of engagement strategies, supports relationship cultivation across donors, alumni, corporate partners, and community leaders, and ensures accurate documentation and communication that advance institutional priorities.   Working closely with the Director of Development Operations, this position contributes to operational effectiveness, coordinated engagement activities, and high-quality events and communications that strengthen Maryville’s donor and alumni communities.

Requirements

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, advancement, or development operations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with diverse stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in higher education, advancement, or related fields preferred.
