About The Position

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is a psychiatric hospital that began offering substance abuse and mental health services in 2002. Primarily established to house adolescents, Lighthouse has transitioned to offering a full spectrum of acute inpatient services to adults and seniors as well. Since 2010, Lighthouse has expanded its mental health and substance abuse services. In 2013, Lighthouse opened a 28-day inpatient chemical dependency rehabilitation unit—the first of its kind in the Grand Strand area. In 2015, Lighthouse opened an acute adolescent unit to meet the needs of teens and their families in the Grand Strand. In 2022, Lighthouse opened an Adult Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program. At Lighthouse, we strive to perform at a high level for our patients and their families. The Staffing Coordinator (scheduler) works closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Nurse Manager/ Infection Control in coordinating an effective, efficient scheduling pattern. The Coordinator will collaborate with management in establishing an effective system for Call Offs, Overtime and reporting Call Outs; replaces and report call outs in a prompt manner; help cover and report call-outs and staffing shortage including second shifts, third shifts, and weekends. The Coordinator is responsible for preparing a 2 week schedule for units based on specified staffing pattern. Serves as contact person for all scheduling needs within the clinical area. Schedule orienting staff with preceptors for orientation and follows through the orientation process.Monitors staff absenteeism and tardiness, reports promptly to Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager IC. If needed arrange additional staff and arrange for additional staff in cases where a passenger is needed for transporting of discharged patients. Requirements

  • High School Graduate/GED Required.
  • Must have experience, with knowledge of organizing and managing the facilities master schedule plan for clinical staffing.

  • Associate Degree and or Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
