Requirements

  • Has High School Diploma or GED.
  • Has a minimum of one year of office experience and/or field experience as personal care or home health aide.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Organizational, human resource, and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work under time pressure.
  • Ability to work with details.
  • Ability to use computer for word processing and data entry applications.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews the aides’ documentation for timeliness, completeness, and correctness.
  • Submits paperwork to administrative offices according to established timelines.
  • Verifies aide records in EMR. Ensures that scheduled time is verified correctly, and lapses of service are completed when assigned hours are missed.
  • Provides prompt services to clients by selecting and placing qualified aides within seven days of R.N. Supervisor admission visit.
  • Assigns a substitute aide when the regularly assigned aide is absent.
  • Interviews, screens, tests, and hires applicants for Personal Care Aide, Home Health Aide, or Private Duty positions.
  • Conducts aide orientation prior to placement in homes.
  • Reviews our recruitment system for potential caregivers in territories where we have client need to move forward to HR for further consideration after initial vetting/screening call.
  • Monitors aide compliance with required annual in-service completion and provides opportunity for make-up of in-services as needed.
  • Provides spot-checks of homes to ensure aide is present during scheduled hours.
  • Communicates with aides, clients, and clients’ caregivers to evaluate services and address complaints or other concerns.
  • Monitors respite hours and prepares letters as appropriate for low- or high-usage levels.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the Staffing Coordinator or Regional Team Leader.
