We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to oversee 24/7 staffing operations for our senior living community. This role is essential in ensuring schedules are fully staffed at all times while supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members. The ideal candidate will have caregiver experience, be comfortable working on the floor as needed, and possess strong scheduling and coordination skills in a healthcare setting.

Requirements

  • Experience as a staffing/scheduling coordinator in a nursing home, assisted living, or senior care setting
  • Prior caregiver experience and willingness to work on the floor when needed
  • Strong background in hiring, onboarding, and scheduling
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, 24/7 healthcare environment
  • Energetic, dependable, and solution-oriented

  • Experience with the OnShift scheduling platform

Responsibilities

  • Ensure 24/7 staffing coverage by proactively managing and adjusting schedules
  • Prepare and maintain daily and master schedules using scheduling software
  • Work on the floor as needed to support staffing shortages
  • Train and onboard new team members, including orientation coordination
  • Collaborate with recruiting partners to fill open positions promptly
  • Support candidate screening, interviews, and hiring processes
  • Review and process PTO, vacation, and attendance requests
  • Track timekeeping, attendance, and call-offs; assist with progressive discipline as needed
  • Anticipate staffing needs to prevent shortages and ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and employment regulations
  • Generate staffing reports and communicate updates to leadership
  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate compensation
