About The Position

DESCRIPTION: The Staff Tennis Professional is responsible for but not limited to conducting tennis lessons, clinics, round-robins & any other special events as needed. Provide tennis instruction, individual and for groups Schedule reservations for tennis court times, lessons & clinics Pro Shop Merchandise Sales Accurate record keeping Assist in other areas as needed and requested by the Director of Tennis or Recreation Manager Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day Maintain positive guest relations at all times Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attraction/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately Monitor & maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas Learn IT systems including opera, resort suite and outlook. Fill in for pro shop supervisor and attendant when needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years teaching experience to players of all levels
  • Playing level of 4.5 or above
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing – fluency in English
  • Available to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to: Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Prioritize and organize
  • Follow directions thoroughly
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
  • Excellent customer service skills; able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests and other employees
