About The Position

The Staff, Technology Operations is a customer-obsessed leader responsible for driving initiatives that enhance customer experience and speed across Walmart’s fulfillment channels. This exciting opportunity will lead high-impact projects focused on developing strategies that increase the delivery speed of packages to customers and the assortment available to customers at fast speeds. The role will work primarily with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Operations to deliver data-driven solutions that improve our customer value proposition. The role is based full-time in Bentonville, Arkansas (in-office, 5 days per week) and reports to the Senior Director of Fulfillment Speed within the Walmart eCommerce Digital Fulfillment Transformation organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business or product operations, strategy, or process improvement
  • Passionate about understanding network design and championing customer-first solutions
  • Possess strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional projects in dynamic environments
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys driving continuous improvement
  • Experience in eCommerce, merchandising, or supply chain strategy
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project/program management, information technology, finance, management, or related area and 4 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.
  • Option 2: 6 years’ experience in project management, program management, program operations, or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and Prioritizing Projects: Identify and address improvement opportunities, demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous improvement; conduct competitive assessments, develop business cases, and set objectives and KPIs for fulfillment speed & the customer experience
  • Benefit Quantification: Create the case for change through analysis of financial and operational metrics, customer data, and competitive benchmarking. Obsess over customer outcomes and demonstrate how customers respond to better speeds
  • Roadmap Ownership: Develop roadmaps to deliver speed capabilities across assets, operational improvements, and technical development
  • Collaboration: Define and lead requirements with key partners (product, strategy, operations), prioritizing initiatives, setting goals, and holding teams accountable for delivering against the plan
  • Results and Accountability: Define business objectives and measure progress in achieving results; demonstrate strong commitment towards goals and driving complex projects focused on increase customer coverage, FC assortment, order cut times and peak volume capacity
