About The Position

Collins Aerospace is hiring a facilities staff technician to support the Interiors Seating Division in Winston-Salem. The position supports multiple facilities, including two multi-story office buildings and an electrical engineering. In this role you will drive efficiency and functionality through strategic planning and design of equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures to optimize organizational facilities.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in building maintenance and plumbing.
  • Electrical wiring experience to include troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Preventive maintenance as it applies to machines and infrastructure.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or leaders of the building in a professional manner.
  • Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warnings signs of problems are not overlooked.

Responsibilities

  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Supervision of Maintenance Staff: May supervise outside contractors responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing utility systems, buildings, and equipment across various trades, such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating, painting, and general maintenance.
  • Property Control Coordination: Coordinate property control activities to maintain continual accountability of associate contractor, or company property in accordance with applicable regulations or corporate policies.
  • Property Audits and Guidance: Conduct property audits, provide guidance on government regulations regarding property accountability, and develop, recommend, and implement property administration policies.
  • Disposal Management: Arrange the disposal of obsolete or no-longer-required material or equipment.
